What your surgical equipment is worth, and what moves it
Send the model, a few photographs, and whatever service records you can find. You get a cash number within 24 hours, with the reasoning behind it, and a valuation is not an obligation.
What to send us for a valuation
Ten minutes of gathering is enough to get a real number back within 24 hours. None of it is a prerequisite; send what you can find and we will ask about the rest.
Manufacturer and model
From the label on the back or underside of the unit. A photograph of the label is faster than typing it and removes the transcription errors.
Serial number, if it is legible
It pins down the build year and generation, which is often the largest single factor in the number.
Whether it powers up
Working, not working, or unknown. Unknown is an acceptable answer and a common one.
Photographs
The unit as it sits, plus whatever is attached to it. Four or five ordinary phone photos beat a careful written description.
What comes with it
Carts, monitors, cables, footswitches, scopes, objectives, spare parts, manuals. The accessories are where inventories most often understate value.
Any service records you can find
PM logs, repair invoices, or the sticker on the side with the last service date.
The six drivers we price against
A number you can take to the board
Per item or one lot
You get a cash number per item, or a single number for the whole lot, whichever is easier for your approval process.
In writing, with reasoning
We show what drove the number, so it holds up in a budget conversation instead of reading as a lowball.
No obligation
Facilities use our valuations for budgeting, board approval, and deciding whether to sell now or keep running the equipment.
What people use the number for
Deciding whether to sell or keep running it
A real number on the equipment is the input that makes this a calculation rather than an argument.
Building a closing or consolidation budget
The equipment line is usually the largest recoverable item in a wind-down, and the one estimated with the least evidence.
Taking a recommendation to a board or a partner group
A written number from a buyer who will pay it carries further than a range someone found online.
Sizing a trade-up
What the current unit is worth sets what the replacement really costs. The two decisions are one decision.
One distinction worth making
Our number is a purchase offer: what we will pay you in cash for the equipment. It is not a certified appraisal, and it should not be used as one. If you need a valuation for insurance, tax, a partnership buyout, or litigation, that is a formal appraisal from an accredited appraiser, a different document with different standards behind it.
We will say so if your situation calls for one.
How to get a real number
Send the List
A spreadsheet, a photo of the room, or a walkthrough on the phone. Model and serial numbers make the number tighter and faster; we can work without them.
We Price It
Every piece is valued on its condition and on what that model is trading for right now. You get a cash number per item, or one number for the whole lot.
Offer Within 24 Hours
One number, in writing, with the reasoning behind it. No listing period, no reserve price, no waiting to see whether a buyer shows up.
We Handle the Pull
We coordinate deinstall, rigging, crating, and freight, so your team is not managing removal vendors on top of everything else.
Common questions
Why do you not publish price ranges?
Two units of the same model and year routinely value differently based on condition and on what is attached to them, so a published range is either too wide to use or wrong more often than it is right. Send the list and we will price yours.
Is your number an appraisal?
No. It is a purchase offer: the amount we will pay in cash for that equipment. A certified appraisal for insurance, tax, or litigation purposes is a different document from a different kind of provider, and you should get one if that is what the situation calls for.
How long does a valuation take?
Within 24 hours of receiving your list. Larger inventories and whole-facility lists sometimes need a call to clarify what is included, and that call is usually the same day.
Does getting a number commit me to anything?
No. Facilities ask us for numbers they end up not acting on, and that is a normal outcome. We would rather be the buyer you call again in eighteen months.
What if my equipment turns out to be worth very little?
We will tell you that plainly, and tell you why. Knowing that a unit is worth more in service than in resale is a useful answer, and it is a common one for equipment that is still doing its job.
Send the list. We will send back a number within 24 hours.
A valuation is not an obligation, and you will see the reasoning behind the number.
